Staying with Brad and Natalie and Justin and Tillman was an excellent way to end the trip. Landsburg is great, and this time we discovered the waterpark right on the river, perfect for the 90 degree days!
Because our flight to Istanbul was at 7:30am, we stayed at the Munich Airport Hilton, where we had the best food Ive ever had at an airport!
That’s my pork with crispy skin and bread dumpling closest. Super yummy food at the Air Huis, the munich airport beer garden.
It’s good to be home!
There is a giant swimming complex in Landsberg that we had no idea existed until this trip, and this is our second time here in three days.
That’s Tully at the top of the tall staircase, waiting for the long slide down.
The complex is huge. Showers, changing rooms, a cafeteria that sells good german food and beer, a lap pool, a bunch of diving boards and platforms, giant baby pool…and huge trees that give shade. It’s 40 Celsius today.
This whole post got deleted the first time, let’s try again.
This restaurant is not accessible by car, only by foot or bike. It’s about a 30 minute walk from Landsberg, and the walk is gorgeous, right along the Lech river the whole time.
Here are the boys, and then Tully, walking along the path:
Here’s the restaurant:
And here’s lunch:
We met a very friendly deer on the way back to town.
Max, Joe, Tilman, and Justin play Settlers of Cataan in German.
I love this video. Sailing was so much fun.
